Services
Plant Layout
We generally find in the first instance that a site visit is of the greatest importance, this allows us to build up an in-depth understanding of your particular requirements. Many companies today already have their site details logged on a CAD system, where we can sit in with the staff, working together on a projected suitable scheme.
Where it is a new site we will undertake a complete survey and produce various working suggestions. All our business is geared towards working with our clients on a team effort basis, where we will try to maximise your available space to design a plant that is most suited to your requirements.
Consultancy
Our considerable experience in paint and powder coating industry enables us to adopt a “hands on” approach geared to your budgetary constraints. The main thrust of our advice will be to establish a useful and practical layout in your premises, but at the same time matching it to suitable available used plant. Generally our consultancy will be free of charge in the hope that our advice will convince you that we can offer you a value for money solution. We do offer to undertake specific projects on a fee basis.
Our plant layout expertise will generally include advice and estimated costs of all the required services to run the plant, environmental issues and general good practise consideration. We often find that our “hands on” approach leads to a successful and cost effective solution, since we pride ourselves on our unbiased opinion and full understanding of your needs.
Metal Cleaning and Pretreatment
This section divides into cleaning, which is covered by shotblasting, vapour degreasing, vapour blasting, burn-off ovens and stripper tanks. We can usually offer suitable items and advise on the best method.
Once cleaned, the metal substrate may need etching or phosphating. This can be achieved usually by a set of immersion tanks which is considered to be off-line or on-line which will usually mean that the work is hung on a conveyor and carried through the required number of stages. There are also three unique single tank systems that we have knowledge of and can advise you on. Our range of equipment, method and expertise can cover most applications.
Wet Paint Applications
We have extensive experience with all the below applications and can offer suitable plant from stock to cover the below list.
Manual or Automatic; Reciprocators and high speed bell; Spinning Discs; Airless and air assisted; Enclosed heated spray rooms; Plastic Finishing; Waterbased and Solvent Based; Wood and MDF Board; Metal; Vehicle Spray Booths; Industrial dry filter and water wash spray booths;
Powder Coating Applications
This section broadly splits into the short colour run, sundry item, work carried out by sub-contractors who will probably use manual powder guns, an off-line spray enclosure and either a series of box ovens or the very efficient camel-back type curing ovens.
The larger section will be manufacturers coating their own products on-line, generally with long colour runs. Almost always this section will be by a converorised comprehensive on-line plant. This section forms the greater part of our business. Our consultancy, plant sourcing and relocation expertise is available for all large or small jobs.
Property Consultants, Valuers and Assessors
We are often asked to value an existing factory or site during relocation discussions and have developed contacts in the various specialist sectors.
We can offer advise on the possibility of redevelopment, decontamination and sale of most industrial sites.
